Core 9 273PQE gaming tests show up to 10% lead over Core i9-14900K
Bartlett Lake-S is not a consumer gaming CPU, but Zed Up’s tests show how Intel’s P-core-only design performs against Raptor Lake.

Intel’s Core 9 273PQE has been tested against the Core i9-14900K in games, giving us one of the first looks at how Bartlett Lake-S performs when all cores are Performance cores. The chip is part of Intel’s Core Series 2 lineup for embedded and edge systems, not the regular desktop market.
Twelve P-Cores vs. Eight
Intel confirmed Bartlett Lake-S with up to 12 P-cores, 24 threads, DDR5-5600 support, ECC memory support and a 125W base power option. The Core 9 273PQE is the top 125W model with 12 P-cores, 36MB cache and up to 5.9 GHz boost clock. It uses Intel 7 and the same Raptor Cove P-core architecture as Raptor Lake. The important detail is that Intel has never launched a 12 P-Core SKU for LGA-1700 socket before, and never under the Raptor Lake family.

German reviewer Zed Up compared the Core 9 273PQE against the Core i9-14900K , which combines 8 P-cores with 16 E-cores. The test is interesting because it removes Intel’s hybrid design from the equation and adds four more full P-cores. In several CPU-limited gaming tests, the Bartlett Lake chip ended up ahead.
According to Zed Up, the Core 9 273PQE can be up to around 10% faster than the Core i9-14900K in these tests. The results do not show a clean win in every game, but they do show that 12 full P-cores can help in some CPU-limited scenarios. Rainbow Six Siege showed no average FPS difference, while Counter-Strike 2 was slightly faster on the 14900K in a random run.

Zed Up bought the Core 9 273PQE for €725 net from Mouser in the US. The ASRock IMB-X1714 motherboard used for testing reportedly cost €340. This means Bartlett Lake-S is not a practical gaming upgrade, even if the results are technically interesting for LGA-1700 users.
I believe it was Intel’s Robert Hallock who recently confirmed the company has no plans to bring Bartlett Lake-S to consumers, so such tests are the closest we get to what would be possible if they had different plans.
