GEIL presents new DDR5 memory: SPEAR V does not require XMP or EXPO to reach 8000 MT/s

The company will also show its new AQUARIUS Diamond RGB series, while TEAMGROUP has already announced JEDEC DDR5-8000 modules with tighter timings. The AQUARIUS Diamond RGB uses an aluminum heatsink and a diamond-cut RGB light bar. The modules will be offered in Graphite Black and Glacier White finishes. GEIL Is also presenting Spear V memory with simpler design.
GSKILL Trident Royal DDR5 memory
GeIL has announced DDR5 memory rated at 8000 MT/s under JEDEC settings. The company says the modules will be shown at Computex 2026 and will not require XMP, EXPO, or manual BIOS tuning on supported platforms.
The new modules store the 8000 MT/s configuration in JEDEC SPD. GeIL lists CL64-64-64-128 timings and 1.10V operating voltage. This puts the modules in a different category than most DDR5-8000 kits, which usually depend on memory overclocking profiles and higher voltage. I guess that’s a tradeoff with relatively high CAS Latency.

GeIL says the memory is optimized for Intel Core Ultra 200 desktop platforms. The company names Z890 and B860 motherboards, and shows demos running with Ultra 5 245KF and Ultra 7 265K.

The company also says it is working with industry partners to prepare the modules f or next-generation platforms. GeIL does not name AMD Zen 6, so support for future Ryzen CPUs should not be presented as confirmed.
Worth adding that we recently covered TEAMGROUP’s ELITE and ELITE PLUS DDR5-8000 modules earlier this week. Those kits also run at 1.1V under JEDEC settings, but use CL56-56-56-128 timings.
GeIL has not confirmed pricing, capacities, retail timing, or whether these DDR5-8000 modules will ship as UDIMM, CUDIMM, or both.
