Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black moves closer to launch
Noctua has started teasing a blacked-out fan, and all signs point to the NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black.

The company has not named the product in the teaser yet. However, Noctua’s current roadmap already lists the NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.black for Q2 2026. This places the launch in the same window as Computex 2026, which runs from June 2 to June 5 in Taipei.
The NF-A12x25 G2 is Noctua’s second-generation 120 mm fan. The standard version uses Sterrox LCP material, a 0.5 mm tip clearance, a Progressive-Bend impeller, and a 4-pin PWM design with a maximum speed of 1800 RPM. Noctua also sells LS-PWM and Sx2-PP variants.

The black version arrives later because Noctua treats chromax.black models as separate manufacturing projects. The company recently explained that black pigment changes the moulding process. It also requires a separate validation cycle, including long-term high-temperature testing.

The same Q2 roadmap also includes Noctua’s first all-in-one liquid coolers and the Pulsar Feinman Noctua Edition mouse. We recently covered both the AIO roadmap and Noctua’s explanation for delayed chromax.black products, so this teaser appears to be the next step before launch.
