PowerColor launches Radeon AI PRO R9600D with 32GB GDDR6 memory

PowerColor has listed its Radeon AI PRO R9600D , a workstation and AI graphics card based on AMD RDNA 4 architecture. This is the follow up to AMD’s announcement of the Radeon AI PRO R9000 series with the R9700S and R9600D models. AMD confirmed Navi 48, 32GB of GDDR6 memory and passive cooling for the new cards.
The PowerColor model is listed as AI PRO R9600D 32G-P. It uses 3072 stream processors, 32GB of GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit memory bus and 20 Gbps memory speed. AMD’s own specifications list the Radeon AI PRO R9600D with 48 compute units, 96 AI accelerators, 64MB Infinity Cache and 640 GB/s memory bandwidth.

PowerColor’s card follows the same passive single-slot design that was previously reported for partner Radeon AI PRO R9600D models. The board measures 241.3 × 111.2 × 18.7 mm, which makes it a true single-slot card. This design is aimed at systems with chassis airflow rather than a fan mounted directly on the graphics card.

Only one display connector (better than nothing?)
AMD says Radeon AI PRO R9600D display outputs vary by partner design and that the GPU supports up to four display outputs. PowerColor lists only one DisplayPort 2.1a connector on this model, which is lower than typical workstation cards with three or four display outputs.
The card also uses a 12V-2×6 16-pin power connector despite its 150W board power rating. AMD lists a 450W minimum PSU recommendation for the Radeon AI PRO R9600D, and PowerColor uses the same minimum system power requirement.
No pricing or retail availability has been listed yet.
