Intel CEO says NVIDIA product collaboration is still active
It has been quiet since one of last year’s biggest announcements, the partnership between Intel and NVIDIA. While the work appears to be happening away from public updates, the CEOs of two major chip companies have now confirmed that the collaboration is still active.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has confirmed that Intel and NVIDIA are still working on joint products. Tan posted the update after NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang received an Honorary Doctor of Science and Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. Tan placed the doctoral hood on Huang during the ceremony and wrote that “Intel and NVIDIA are collaborating to develop exciting new products.”

NVIDIA said at the time that Intel would build NVIDIA-custom x86 CPUs for AI infrastructure. Intel would also offer x86 SoCs for PCs with integrated NVIDIA RTX GPU chiplets.

Should this collaboration deliver actual products, for the PC market, this means Intel-branded x86 processors with NVIDIA RTX graphics inside the same package. This would be Intel’s first major third-party GPU package since Kaby Lake-G, which paired Intel Core CPUs with Radeon RX Vega M graphics.
Intel and NVIDIA have not confirmed product names or launch dates. Recent leaks have linked the first client chip to “Serpent Lake,” but that name remains unofficial. The official announcement only confirms multiple generations of data center and PC products.
