AMD Radeon RX 9050 uses 2048 cores but lower clocks than RX 9060 XT
AMD is preparing another Radeon RX 9000 desktop graphics card. According to information obtained by VideoCardz, the company is working on the Radeon RX 9050 , a lower-clocked Navi 44 model positioned below the Radeon RX 9060 series.
The Radeon RX 9050 is not using the same core count as the Radeon RX 9060. Instead, the card is listed with Navi 44 and 2,048 Stream Processors, matching the Radeon RX 9060 XT. This means the card uses the full Navi 44 XT core configuration, rather than the 1,792-core Navi 44 XL design used by the Radeon RX 9060. Keep in mind, the specs are preliminary and only single-sourced.

Up to 24% lower clocks
The main change applies to clocks. Radeon RX 9050 is listed with a 1,920 MHz game clock and a 2,600 MHz boost clock. For comparison, AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT reference specifications list up to 2,530 MHz game clock and up to 3,130 MHz boost clock. This puts RX 9050 610 MHz lower in game clock and 530 MHz lower in boost clock. Compared to Radeon RX 9060 XT reference clocks, RX 9050 is listed with a 610 MHz lower game clock and a 530 MHz lower boost clock. That is a reduction of 24% and 17% respectively.
The card is also listed with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus. Memory bandwidth is shown as 288 GB/s, matching the Radeon RX 9060 rather than the RX 9060 XT, which is listed at 320 GB/s. PCIe specifications are expected to match the RX 9060 XT, which means PCIe 5.0 x16 support.
We do not yet have the exact board power rating for Radeon RX 9050. However, the recommended power supply is listed at 450W. Radeon RX 9060 XT has a 500W recommended power supply, so RX 9050 appears to target a lower power class.
