The Witcher 3 gets unofficial DLSS 4.5 Dynamic MFG support through paid mod

The Witcher 3 mod adds DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation for RTX 50 GPUs

PureDark has released a new mod for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

The mod targets GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards. These GPUs support DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation with up to 6X mode, which can generate five AI frames for each rendered frame.

The mod is available through PureDark’s Patreon. This means the feature is not available as a free update from CD Projekt Red or NVIDIA at this time.

Witcher 3 mod Build 01

  • DLSS MFG for RTX 50
  • DLSS Dynamic MFG
  • Mod menu with options.

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen already supports ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS. This was part of the next-gen update in 2022 , when CD Projekt Red confirmed support for DLSS, FSR 2, ray-traced global illumination, Ultra+ settings and other PC updates. The game never officially received DLSS 4 or 4.5 support.

DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation works differently from fixed MFG modes. NVIDIA says it can adjust the frame generation multiplier based on the target frame rate or display refresh rate, instead of using one fixed multiplier at all times.

The feature should be useful for The Witcher 3’s ray-traced mode, which has long been one of the heavier parts of the next-gen update on PC. The mod does not change the base game into an official DLSS 4.5 title, but it gives RTX 50 users another option until CD Projekt Red or NVIDIA provide native support.
