Playground Games confirms leaked Forza Horizon 6 build before launch
Playground Games has confirmed that an early build of Forza Horizon 6 has been obtained before release. The studio says the leak was not caused by a preload issue, which was one of the first explanations shared after reports of an unencrypted build appeared online.
The developer says it is taking strict enforcement action against anyone found accessing the build. This includes franchise-wide bans and hardware bans, which means affected users could lose access beyond a single Forza Horizon 6 account.

Hardware bans are rare in gaming enforcement. They are usually reserved for repeat offenders, cheaters, tampered devices, or cases that involve attempts to bypass online protections. Xbox’s own enforcement pages describe most actions as account-level penalties, with device bans used for repeated or severe violations.

Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on May 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Premium Edition Early Access starting May 15. Some users do not feel threatened by the developer and even shared early benchmark results showing the game running on a Radeon RX 9070 XT with FSR 4.1 support.
