Subnautica 2 reportedly leaks 48 hours before Early Access launch

Subnautica 2 joins recent wave of early PC game leaks

Subnautica 2 has reportedly leaked online before its Early Access release. The claim was first reported by RespawnFirst and it appears that the game has already appeared on piracy sites and is playable ahead of launch.

The game is not months away from release. Unknown Worlds confirmed that Subnautica 2 will enter Early Access on May 14, 2026 . The game is priced at $29.99 USD, with regional pricing depending on the storefront.

Unknown Worlds enabled pre-purchase and pre-load support 72 hours before launch. The studio said players can pre-purchase Subnautica 2 on Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox. The company has not confirmed that the reported leak is connected to pre-load files. How did the game end up on pirate sites is anyone’s guess.

This follows the recent Forza Horizon 6 leak , which was also reported before release. Based on the comments from X users and Redditors, it seems that both Forza Horizon 6 and Subnaituca 2 could have been sourced from review copies.

At the time of writing, Unknown Worlds, Krafton and Microsoft have not issued a public statement confirming the Subnautica 2 leak.
