Best Buy affiliate email points to GTA 6 physical pre-orders on May 18
Best Buy may have revealed the start date for Grand Theft Auto VI physical pre-orders ahead of Rockstar’s own announcement.
The affiliate campaign reportedly lists a four-day window for physical game pre-orders promotion, but the offer is not visible to all Best Buy affiliates.
A screenshot shared online shows a Best Buy U.S. Creator campaign labeled “ GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game). ” The campaign lists a 5% online-sale commission and runs from May 18 to May 21, 2026. The email appears to come from the Best Buy affiliate program operated through Impact.

The screenshots shared by many content creators who are affiliated with the retailer, does not show a public Best Buy product page. It appears to show an affiliate campaign entry for creators specifically. Several users on Reddit and X claim they received the same Best Buy affiliate email, while one streamer showed the message during a live broadcast.

We are also registered with the Best Buy affiliate program, but we did not receive the same invitation. As far as I can tell, the BestBuy Creator program is different from generally available affiliate programs. We also could not find a matching GTA 6 campaign in our own affiliate panel.
The timing would place the possible pre-order start almost exactly six months before launch. Rockstar currently lists Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two is also scheduled to report its fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 results on May 21, the same day the alleged Best Buy affiliate campaign ends.
