Lenovo Legion 7a Gen 11 with AMD Strix Halo now listed
15-inch Legion gaming laptop uses AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392 with Radeon 8060S graphics and up to 48GB of assignable shared VRAM.
Lenovo is moving closer to a global release of its first Legion gaming laptop based on AMD Strix Halo. The new model is listed as the Legion 7a Gen 11, or Legion 7a 15ASH11, and now appears on multiple regional Lenovo websites. Lenovo’s own pages are live in Australia, France, Germany and the UK, although public specs are still limited on those product pages.
According to Notebookcheck, the laptop will use the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392 APU. This is a 12-core Zen 5 processor with 24 threads, up to 5.0 GHz boost clock, 64MB L3 cache and a 45W to 120W configurable TDP range. This chip launched last year has full iGPU specs, which means Radeon 8060S graphics, 40 graphics cores, a 2.9 GHz GPU clock.
The Legion 7a is expected to ship with 32GB or 64GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. Since Strix Halo uses shared system memory, the Radeon 8060S iGPU can reportedly be assigned up to 48GB as graphics memory. This is not dedicated VRAM in the same sense as a GeForce RTX Laptop GPU, but it gives the integrated GPU a larger memory pool than most gaming laptops.
The rest of the listed configuration includes a 15.3-inch OLED display with a 2560×1600 resolution , 165Hz VRR support, 500 nits SDR brightness and 1100 nits HDR brightness. The laptop also has dual M.2 2242 SSD slots, an 84Wh battery and 180W charging. Notebookcheck lists the chassis at 345×244×15.5 to 15.9 mm with a weight of 1.55 kg.
Lenovo has not confirmed pricing yet.
Legion Strix Halo appeared alongside NVIDIA N1 system
As you may recall, the same 15ASH11 model apppeared in January , when it appeared on Lenovo’s Legion Space compatibility page. At the time, the “SH” part of the model name pointed to AMD Strix Halo, but Lenovo had not yet published final specifications or launch details. This system appeared alongside NVIDIA N1 version, which could suggest that the N1 laptop is very close… almost Computex close. We will see if that’s true.
