Popular memory maker, V-Color, has expanded its memory catalog by introducing OC RDIMM for the workstation segment, featuring high-speed operation at a low voltage. The OC RDIMM is aimed at the Intel W890 platform (Intel Xeon 6) and can reach a staggering 9600 MT/s on the ASUS PRO WS W890E-SAGE SE. The OC RDIMM boasts new DDR5 memory chips with JEDEC standard 8000 MT/s at 1.1V, which is already a superb feat, and by hitting 9600 MT/s, it can speed up workloads even further.
The OC RDIMM brings the SK Hynix 8000 MT/s DDR5 chips and can operate at a low 1.1V, improving reliability and efficiency in the long run. We have seen Team Group launching a similar memory kit , but it's for the regular consumer segment. In both cases, we will see improved reliability, which is particularly crucial in the workstation segment. With the help of these ICs, the V-Color OC RDIMM can deliver up to 9600 MT/s with 8-DIMM configuration using 64 GB modules on the ASUS Pro WS W890E-SAGE SE, as illustrated.
The OC RDIMM is therefore perfect for all scenarios, and whether the configuration requires deploying four DIMMS or eight, the V-Color's OC RDIMM is fit for every case.
