MSI launches GeForce RTX 5080 The Mandalorian and Grogu Edition

MSI has launched the GeForce RTX 5080 16G The Mandalorian and Grogu Edition OC, a limited-edition graphics card tied to Lucasfilm’s upcoming “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” movie. The card will be sold in Europe only, with MSI confirming a total run of 500 units.

VideoCardz previously covered MSI’s teaser for this model earlier this month. The company has now confirmed the final design, regional availability and launch date. The card will be available from May 22, 2026 through selected European resellers and the MSI E-Shop.

The model is based on the GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of memory. MSI is using its GAMING TRIO design with TRI FROZR 4 cooling, STORMFORCE fans, a nickel-plated copper baseplate, Wave Curved 4.0 fins and Air Antegrade Fin 2.0 airflow design. The card also includes RGB lighting.

The design uses a brushed metal color scheme inspired by Din Djarin’s armor. MSI also includes a Grogu-themed VGA support bracket and a magnetic backplate system. The backplate supports four interchangeable plates based on the Mandalorian helmet, Grogu, the New Republic and Imperial Remnants emblems.

MSI has not listed pricing. The company also has not confirmed whether the card will be sold outside Europe. For now, this appears to be a regional collector model with a fixed production run.

The launch is timed with the movie’s theatrical release on May 22, 2026. “The Mandalorian and Grogu” is directed by Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver.
