AMD RDNA 3 and newer GPUs get Advanced Shader Delivery preview on Windows 11
Microsoft expands Advanced Shader Delivery preview to AMD Radeon GPUs.

Microsoft is expanding Advanced Shader Delivery beyond ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. The feature is now available in public preview on Windows 11 PCs with AMD discrete GPUs and gaming laptops using AMD integrated graphics.
Advanced Shader Delivery is designed to reduce shader compilation delays. Microsoft says it delivers precompiled shaders during game download, which can reduce first-launch loading times and reduce shader stutter during gameplay. The feature first launched on ROG Xbox Ally handhelds last October.

Microsoft: “With ASD, this loading screen finishes 95% faster on an AMD Radeon ™ RX 9060 GPU”
The first title used for the wider AMD preview is Forza Horizon 6 . According to Microsoft, the game loads in 4 seconds with Advanced Shader Delivery enabled, compared with almost 1.5 minutes without it. The company calls this a 95% reduction in loading time. Microsoft’s blog text lists an AMD Radeon RX 7600 GPU and Ryzen 7 5800 CPU for the measurement, while one image caption on the same page references an RX 9060 GPU.
The preview requires Windows 11 24H2 or newer, Xbox Gaming Services 37.113.11003.0 or newer and access to the PC Gaming Preview through the Xbox Insider Hub. GPU support is limited to AMD RDNA 3, RDNA 3.5 and RDNA 4 architectures. Microsoft also requires AMD Adrenalin 26.5.2 or newer .

Microsoft says the feature will show “ Precompiled shaders installed ” in the launch window when it is active. For now, the preview appears to be tied to the Xbox PC app version of supported titles. The blog does not confirm support for Steam versions.
