Steam Support offers free game after Steam Controller delivery mix-up

Valve is offering at least some Steam Controller buyers a free game after a delivery issue affected recent shipments

According to a Steam Support message shared on Reddit, a carrier informed Valve that a small number of packages were incorrectly routed to the UK. Steam Support said the carrier was working to redirect the shipment to the customer’s original shipping address.

The message advised the buyer to continue checking GLS tracking for the latest delivery updates. Steam Support then offered compensation for the delay.

“To thank you for your patience,” the message reads, Valve offered to add a game to the user’s Steam library. The user was asked to choose “any standard-edition title available for purchase” in their region. The offer appears to apply to standard editions only, so bundles, deluxe editions, and other upgraded versions are not included. The Reddit user later claimed they selected Forza Horizon 6 as their free game.

So if your Steam Controller has not arrived yet, it may be worth checking the tracking page. Your package might not be delayed locally, it may have been sent to the wrong country first.
