Memtest86+ 8.10 improves memory testing on Intel Lunar Lake and Panther Lake
This version improves support for Intel Panther Lake. The announcement from Doc TB also mentions Lunar Lake, although the official changelog on memtest.org only lists Panther Lake by name. This should make the tool more useful on upcoming Intel systems and newer mobile platforms using LPDDR5 memory.
Version 8.10 also adds support for x2APIC. This is relevant for modern systems with many CPU threads, where APIC handling can affect how the tool runs across available cores. The update also enables SIMD through SSE2 on the x86_64 build, according to the maintainer’s changelog.

LPDDR5 timings fixed
The update brings better bandwidth measurement and fixes timing detection on LPDDR5. There are also boot-related fixes for AMI BIOS systems, older GRUB configurations, and Secure Boot code structure for future shim review.
Memtest86+ is a free and open-source stand-alone memory tester. It runs outside the operating system and can access almost all system memory, so it is often used to check memory stability after a new build, memory upgrade, or overclock.
