First Wildcat Lake laptops launch in China from under $600 without VAT, with twice the memory of MacBook Neo

Honor, ASUS and HP laptops with Intel Core 5 320 launch in China

Three Core 5 320 laptops now listed

The first Intel Wildcat Lake laptops are now appearing at retail in China. Honor, ASUS and HP have all listed systems with Intel’s new Core 5 320 processor, giving Intel’s entry-level laptop platform its first consumer devices.

The cheapest model is the Honor Notebook X14 2026 Combat Edition . It is listed at 4399 RMB, which converts to around $646 with VAT. Without China’s 13% VAT, the price is around $571.

ASUS has also listed the Fearless 14SE 2026 with the same Core 5 320 processor, 16GB of memory and 512GB storage. This model costs 4599 RMB, or around $675 with VAT. Without VAT, that comes out to around $597.

HP has the OmniBook 3 li sted at 5099 RMB. This model also uses Core 5 320 with 16GB of memory and 512GB storage. Its pre-VAT price is around $662.

Twice the RAM and storage

All three systems have twice as much memory and storage as the base Apple MacBook Neo, which ships with 8GB of memory and 256GB storage. The comparison is not direct, since Apple uses its own A18 Pro chip and macOS, while these systems use Intel’s new Windows laptop platform.

Intel’s Core 5 320 is a 6-core and 6-thread processor. Intel lists the chip with two Performance cores, four low-power Efficient cores, a 4.6 GHz maximum turbo clock, 6MB cache and a 15W base power. Maximum turbo power is listed at 35W.

The wider availability suggests that Wildcat Lake is already moving beyond product pages and into retail listings. So far there’s no sign of a global launch of any of these systems, which is a shame. We also have no clue about global pricing strategy. Bringing a 16GB laptop to the US or EU might end up costing more.
