Intel Core 3 304 appears in CHUWI UniBook laptop for around $449.

Cheaper than the Apple Macbook Neo, but only offers 8GB memory.

We just covered the first Intel Wildcat Lake laptops launching in China, including Honor, ASUS and HP models. Those systems use the Core 5 320 processor and ship with 16GB of memory. CHUWI is now preparing a cheaper option, but with a lower memory configuration.

The CHUWI UniBook is listed with the Intel Core 3 304 processor, which is part of the Core Series 3 lineup. According to the company material, this is a 5-core and 5-thread processor based on Intel 18A, with boost clocks up to 4.3 GHz. The laptop is expected to start at around $449.

Great price but only 8GB memory

The lower price comes with a clear memory and storage cut. The UniBook has 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 256GB PCIe 3.0 SSD . That is half the memory and storage of the first Core 5 320 laptops we covered earlier, but the entry price is also much lower than the sub-$600 range listed for the first China-market Wildcat Lake systems.

CHUWI lists a 14-inch 1920×1200 IPS display with 100% sRGB coverage. The system also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, active cooling, a 53.38Wh battery, a white backlit keyboard and Windows 11 Pro. The company says the design uses a 100-degree hinge. CHUWI lists two full-function USB-C ports, HDMI 2.0, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, a TF card slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The 8GB memory, which cannot be upgraded, mind you, is a bummer for Windows 11 laptop. But technically speaking, you can easily move to Linux. The table below is from Chuwi PR (we did not change anything). That said, I’m not sure if 14-inch is a plus here. Still a very aggressive price on the latest Intel CPU.
