Sony reportedly keeps Saros and Ghost of Yotei on PS5

Sony is reportedly changing its PlayStation release strategy again. According to Bloomberg, the company no longer plans to bring some of its major PlayStation 5 single-player games to PC.
The report claims that internally developed games such as Ghost of Yotei and Saros are now expected to remain exclusive to PlayStation 5. Bloomberg writes that Sony “no longer plans to release its big PlayStation 5 games on PC.”
Single-player games stay on PS5
This would mark a change from Sony’s recent PC strategy. Since 2020, the company has released several former PlayStation exclusives on Steam and Epic Games Store. This included God of War, Horizon, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
SCOOP: PlayStation studio business CEO Hermen Hulst told staff in a town hall Monday morning that the company's narrative single-player games will now be PlayStation exclusive, confirming Bloomberg's reporting from earlier this year.Original story from March: www.bloomberg.com/news/article…

Bloomberg reports that online and multiplayer-focused games will still launch on more platforms. Marathon and Marvel Tokon are listed as examples. However, some single-player titles are reportedly being pulled back from PC release plans.
The report also says two externally developed PlayStation-published games are still planned for PC this year. Those are Death Stranding 2 and Kena: Scars of Kosmora. A PlayStation spokesperson declined to comment, according to Bloomberg.
Sony’s PC strategy has not followed one fixed schedule. Some games arrived years after their console launch, while others were announced with shorter gaps. The company also faced criticism over PlayStation Network account requirements for some PC releases.
