GMKtec shows EVO-X3 system with Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and OCuLink

GMKtec EVO-X3 mini PC shown with Strix Halo APU and external GPU support

GMKtec has shown its new EVO-X3 desktop AI system at AMD AI Developer Day 2026 in Shanghai. The system appeared next to the already released EVO-X2.

The company’s own blog post includes only one image of the EVO-X3 system. The product card in that photo is not fully readable, but it confirms the use of AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. This is the same Strix Halo APU used in the EVO-X2, with 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads.

GMKtec says EVO-X3 is a “Desktop AI Supercomputing Center” with improved expandability and stronger support for AMD’s ROCm software stack. The company lists WiFi 7, USB4.0, dual PCIe 4.0 drive bays and an OCuLink interface for external graphics cards.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 includes Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 graphics cores. AMD’s own specifications list support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory on a 256-bit memory interface. The processor also includes an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, while AMD lists the full processor at up to 126 TOPS.

The newly upgraded EVO-X3 Desktop AI Supercomputing Center boasts comprehensive improvements in computing power, expandability, and ecosystem compatibility. It features enhanced support for AMD’s ROCm software stack , boosting performance for multi-model parallel inference, distributed training, and long-text intelligent agent operations. Equipped with WiFi7, high-speed USB4.0 ports, dual PCIe4.0 drive bays for massive storage expansion, and an OCulink interface for external discrete graphics cards , it pushes the boundaries of edge AI computing power. This makes it ideal for professional developers, AI studios, and industry clients with advanced computing needs, covering use cases from individual development to enterprise-level applications.

The EVO-X3 appears to be a larger follow-up to the EVO-X2 rather than a direct replacement. GMKtec has not confirmed pricing, launch timing or full configuration options yet. For reference, the EVO-X2 launched in China with Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 128GB memory and 2TB storage.
