Japan's Fujikura to raise US output of fiber optic cable for data centers

TOKYO -- Japanese cable maker Fujikura plans to spend up to 260 billion yen ($1.63 billion) on expanded U.S. production of fiber optic cable, the company said Tuesday, anticipating further growth in data centers.
