SEJONG, South Korea -- Union leaders at Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday that its members will go ahead with a full-scale, 18-day strike as planned starting on Thursday after negotiations with management over bonus payments collapsed, raising uncertainty for production of memory chips amid a deepening shortage in the market.
