Helldivers 2 gets DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS 3.0 support next week

Helldivers 2 May 27 patch adds DLSS, FSR and XeSS on PC

Helldivers 2 will receive a new technical update on May 27, 2026. Arrowhead says the patch was prepared in cooperation with Nixxes and will focus on stability, latency and upscaling across all platforms.

PC gets DLSS, FSR and XeSS

The PC version is getting the largest set of rendering options. The update adds AMD FSR 4.0.3 for supported GPUs, FSR 3.1.5 for other hardware, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and Intel XeSS 3.0. This finally gives PC players access to the main vendor upscaling options instead of relying only on the game’s existing scaling path.

Arrowhead is also adding latency reduction options. NVIDIA Reflex will be available for GeForce users, while AMD Anti-Lag 2 will be supported on Radeon GPUs. The studio says these features are meant to reduce input latency during gameplay, though the final result will still depend on the user’s hardware and settings.

To ensure maximum visual clarity without sacrificing performance, we have integrated the latest upscaling solutions tailored to your specific hardware.

  • PC
    • FSR (High-End): 4.0.3 (on supported GPUs)
    • FSR 3.1.5, DLSS 4.5, and XeSS 3.0 support.
  • PS5 Pro: PSSR 1
  • PS5: FSR 3.1
  • Xbox: FSR 3.1

The patch also includes Variable Rate Shading and Dynamic Resolution Scaling . DRS will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC to help stabilize frame rates in GPU-heavy scenes. Arrowhead says the update also raises the resolution to 1440p in the “Performance” preset on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and in the “Quality” preset on PS5 Power Saving Mode.

Console players are also getting new upscaling features. PS5 Pro will use PSSR 1, while PS5 and Xbox will use FSR 3.1. VRR support is being added for PS5 and PS5 Pro on compatible displays, which should help reduce visible stutter without screen tearing.
