GIGABYTE adds smaller B850M model to AORUS STEALTH ICE lineup

GIGABYTE lists B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE

GIGABYTE has listed a new B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard on its official website. This appears to be a new Micro ATX model in the company’s reverse-connector AM5 lineup.

The board is listed under the shorter name B850M A STEALTH ICE . It uses the AMD B850 chipset and supports Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 7000 processors. This is the smaller version of the existing B850 AORUS STEALTH ICE , which GIGABYTE already offers in ATX format.

The main difference is the form factor. The new model is Micro ATX , measuring 24.4 × 24.4 cm . It keeps the white ICE design and rear-facing connector layout, which is intended for cases with backside motherboard cutouts. This hides power, USB, fan, front-panel, and storage cables behind the tray.

GIGABYTE lists four DDR5 DIMM slots with support for up to 256GB of memory. The official specification mentions memory speeds up to DDR5-8200 OC . Expansion includes one CPU-connected PCIe x16 slot, which runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 with Ryzen 9000 and Ryzen 7000 processors. A second x16-length slot is connected through the chipset and runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 .

Storage includes three M.2 slots and two SATA 6Gb/s ports. The primary M.2 slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 SSDs when paired with Ryzen 9000 or Ryzen 7000 CPUs. The other two M.2 slots are PCIe 4.0 based. Networking includes Realtek 5GbE LAN and Realtek Wi-Fi 7 RTL8922AE with Bluetooth 5.4.

The rear I/O includes HDMI, DisplayPort, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, optical S/PDIF, and two audio jacks. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC1220 codec.

GIGABYTE’s already offers larger X870 and B850 AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboards with backside connectors. The company has not confirmed when the B850M version will be available in stores and at what price.
