Panther Lake-H arrives in HP Omen 15 with RTX 5070 option
HP has started listing more configurations for its new HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop, giving us a clearer look at Intel’s Core Ultra 300H lineup in retail systems. The Intel version is now listed with up to Core Ultra 9 386H, while another configuration uses Core Ultra 7 356H. Both chips belong to Intel Core Ultra Series 3, known as Panther Lake.
Both processors use the same 16-core CPU layout with 4 Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores and 4 Low Power Efficient cores. The Core Ultra 9 386H boosts up to 4.9 GHz, while the Core Ultra 7 356H reaches up to 4.7 GHz. Intel lists both with 18 MB of Smart Cache, a 25W processor base power and up to 80W maximum turbo power.

No Core 300X here
The standard Core Ultra 9 386H and Core Ultra 7 356H only use 4 Xe3 cores for integrated graphics. The Core Ultra X models use stronger Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 cores, as covered earlier in our Panther Lake lineup reports. But this makes the 386H and 356H better suited for gaming laptops with discrete GPUs because H SKUs have higher PCIe bandwidth.

HP pairs the Omen 15 Intel model with up to GeForce RTX 5070 graphics, up to 32GB DDR5-5600 memory, up to a 1TB PCIe Gen5 SSD and up to a 3K 120Hz OLED display. The current HP gaming laptop page lists the Intel Omen 15 with Core Ultra 9 386H, while Notebookcheck spotted Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 9 386H-based Omen 15 configurations with RTX 5070 graphics.
According to the HP listings the Omen 15 configurations with Core Ultra 7 356H and Ryzen 7 8745HX are expected to ship in early July, while Core Ultra 9 386H stock is expected sooner. The Intel 300H variants are therefore moving from specification pages and early listings into actual gaming laptop configurations.
