Sapphire RX 9070 GRE spotted in global retail packaging
AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE may no longer be limited to China and nearby markets. VideoCardz has obtained a picture of Sapphire retail packaging for the RX 9070 GRE that appears to be prepared for the global market.
The box uses English branding for the Sapphire PULSE series and the AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE name. It does not use the Chinese product name seen on Sapphire’s regional pages.
First retail traces already appeared
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE has already appeared on US retail platforms, though not through a standard first-party channel. Newegg lists Sapphire PULSE and PURE RX 9070 GRE cards, but both appear to be marketplace listings from a China-based third-party seller rather than official US distribution.

There are also first traces of systems being prepared with Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics. One Walmart marketplace listing for a MOGPC desktop already mentions a Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB graphics card in the specifications, although the same listing contains a typo in another section. This looks like early retailer database work rather than a confirmed ready-to-ship system.

The RX 9070 GRE uses the Navi 48 GPU with 3072 stream processors and 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus. Sapphire’s Chinese PULSE SKU, listed as 11354-05-78, runs at up to 2790 MHz boost and 2220 MHz game clock, with 18Gbps memory and a 220W board power rating.
AMD originally launched the Radeon RX 9070 GRE as a China-focused model. The company has a history of launching GRE models in China exclusively and later bringing them to the global market at some point. Not all models launched this year, for instance, the RX 7650 GRE were only available in China through their time on the market.
