Following a relatively quiet start to the year in terms of announcements, Sony has announced a massive PlayStation State of Play for Tuesday, June 2, 2026 . Unlike previous presentations, this State of Play will be a lengthy one, kicking off the summer gaming season with many exciting reveals and updates.

The PlayStation State of Play will broadcast live on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 , at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST / 11pm CEST .

The State of Play will also be shown in Sony-owned Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas across major US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.
Sony has confirmed that the broadcast will run for more than 60 minutes , but the presentation is likely going to run for much longer. Theater listings from the Alamo Drafthouse event suggest the entire presentation could run for as long as 90 minutes , making this one of the lengthiest State of Play presentations ever.
According to the official PlayStation Blog announcement , the showcase will feature updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals from "top studios around the world."
The only game that's been officially confirmed for the presentation is Marvel's Wolverine . Developed by Insomniac Games , their next game based on the Marvel Comics universe promises to be an intense action-adventure game with brutal combat, which will finally be showcased in greater detail ahead of its September 15, 2026 , release.
Marvel's Wolverine won't be the only first-party exclusive game reportedly shown during the presentation . The rumored God of War series spin-off starring Faye will also be revealed, and new looks at other games such as Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet , Haven’s Fairgame$ (which may have been rebranded as Break In ), and Guerrilla’s Horizon Hunters Gathering could also be planned. A new look at Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is almost guaranteed, ahead of its August 6 release.
As for third-party reveals, rumors have been silent. While a Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 reveal seems more likely for the Summer Games Fest showcase on June 5, due to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launching on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S the following day , there are plenty of other projects that could be revealed during the presentation, such as CAPCOM's Resident Evil Requiem story DLC and Resident Evil Code Veronica remake .
