FEVM FNGT5 PLUS combines Thunderbolt 5, OCuLink and 600W PSU
FEVM has launched the FNGT5 PLUS, a new open external graphics card dock for desktop GPUs. The device supports both Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink host connections and comes with a built-in 600W power supply.
The company lists support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30, RTX 40 and RTX 50 series graphics cards. The only stated limit is GPU TGP, which must be below 500W (sorry, no 5090!). The dock has a top-mounted PCIe slot, three 8-pin 12V power connectors and a U-shaped bracket for securing the graphics card.
Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink in one dock
The FNGT5 PLUS uses Intel’s JHL9480 controller. The OCuLink connection runs over PCIe 4.0 x4 with up to 64Gbps bandwidth. FEVM also lists an OCuLink connector rated for 1000 mating cycles and a Redriver signal chip.
The internal LOP power supply is rated at 600W. FEVM claims up to 95% conversion efficiency and up to 900W peak output. The company also lists silent operation at 250W and noise below 40dB at 600W load.
