AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is $60 below launch MSRP

AMD’s desktop CPU pricing has been fairly stable over the past few weeks, with only small changes across AMD and Intel parts. That is starting to change again as new discounts appear after Intel’s Arrow Lake Refresh rollout.
Amazon is now listing AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D at $419.99. AMD launched this 8-core Zen 5 X3D processor at $479.99, so the current deal cuts $60 from the original MSRP. It is not below the earlier $409.95 listing we covered in April, but it brings the chip back close to its previous low.
The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has also dropped. Amazon now lists AMD’s newer 8-core Zen 5 X3D processor at $458.99, down from its $499.99 launch price. That puts the 9850X3D at $41 below MSRP.
At current pricing, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is $39 cheaper than the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Both chips target gaming-focused AM5 systems with Zen 5 cores and 3D V-Cache, but the newer model carries a higher boost clock. The latest discounts narrow the gap between AMD’s two 8-core X3D processors, while keeping both below their launch prices.
