ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Pro Wi-Fi 8 router wins Computex 2026 award
ASUS router listed with Multi-AP coordination and 10Gbps ports
Computex has listed the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Pro among its Best Choice Award 2026 winners. The router received a Category Award under Gaming & Immersive Tech, according to the official award page.
The GT-BN98 Pro is listed as a flagship gaming router with Wi-Fi 8 support. Computex says the router uses a Multi-AP coordination architecture, intelligent path optimization and dynamic bandwidth management. The listing also mentions a patented thermal design.

ASUS is also listing 10Gbps wired ports, ROG gaming acceleration and AiMesh support. The router is aimed at high-density environments where multiple client devices compete for bandwidth. ASUS has not yet published full specifications, pricing or launch timing for this model.
The concept looked different
ASUS had already showcased its Wi-Fi 8 work earlier this year with the ROG NeoCore concept router , which was presented as a prototype platform rather than a retail product. The ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Pro now appears to be the first commercial ASUS Wi-Fi 8 router tied to that roadmap. ASUS previously said its first Wi-Fi 8 home routers and mesh systems were planned for 2026, so this model should be among the products expected to reach the market later this year.
