Samsung Display confirms 31.5-inch 4K 360Hz QD-OLED with DisplayHDR True Black 600
Samsung Display has announced a new 31.5-inch QD-OLED monitor panel combining 4K resolution with a 360Hz refresh rate. The company says this is the first QD-OLED monitor panel to offer both specifications at the same time.
The panel will be shown at Computex 2026 in Taipei from June 2 to June 5. Samsung Display says it achieved this refresh rate through optimized panel circuitry and a new driving system. The company also confirmed that mass production is planned for the second half of this year.
Dual Mode with 680Hz Full-HD mode
The same panel also supports a dual-mode configuration. At 4K, it operates at up to 360Hz. When switched to FHD resolution, the refresh rate increases to 680Hz. This puts Samsung Display closer to LG’s dual-mode WOLED panels, which were often the preferred option for users who wanted both high-resolution gaming and lower-resolution esports modes.

DisplayHDR True Black 600
Samsung Display also lists DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. This requires black levels of 0.0005 nits or lower and at least 600 nits peak brightness at 10% APL. The company does not list full brightness behavior across all window sizes, so ABL performance will still need to be tested once retail monitors are available.
The new 31.5-inch panel also uses Samsung Display’s V-stripe pixel structure . This arranges red, green and blue subpixels in vertical stripes to improve text edges. Samsung already used this layout on its 34-inch 360Hz QD-OLED panel, which is now shipping to monitor makers including ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte.
Samsung Display says it is already in talks with more than ten global customers. No monitor brands or retail models have been announced yet.
