MSI marks 40 years with Dragon Edition Draco Epic motherboard and laptop

MSI is preparing more hardware for its 40th anniversary, and the focus this time is the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic. The company says the special edition design is inspired by a “never-setting dragon constellation,” with dragon artwork, constellation lines, gold markings and a 40th anniversary logo.

The laptop appears to be a new design variant of MSI’s top Titan 18 HX platform. The teaser shows a large dragon graphic across the lid, a matching palm rest design and an RGB Dragon Shield logo. MSI also shows a 40th anniversary coin, a themed mouse, a large mouse pad and special packaging as part of the bundle.

MSI’s own slides list Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Laptop GPUs. The same material mentions GDDR7 memory and MSI OverBoost with up to 270W combined CPU and GPU power. The shown power split is 175W for the GPU and 95W for the CPU.

The Draco Epic edition follows MSI’s earlier Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth model, which was announced with Core Ultra 200HX processors and RTX 50 Laptop GPUs. MSI has already confirmed that Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic won a Computex 2026 Best Choice Award in the Gaming & Immersive Tech category.

MSI is also showing the MEG X870E ACE MAX in its 40th anniversary campaign. This is an AM5 motherboard for Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 7000 processors. MSI’s product page lists DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 support, USB4, Wi-Fi 7, 10G and 5G LAN, five M.2 slots, an 18+2+1 power design and a 64MB BIOS. VideoCardz previously covered the MEG X870E ACE MAX specs, so the new angle here is its appearance in MSI’s anniversary presentation rather than a full new board reveal.

Full specifications are expected during Computex, which runs from June 2 to June 5 in Taipei.
