X870 AORUS INFINITY teased with rotated AM5 socket and two DDR5 slots
GIGABYTE appears to be expanding its 40th anniversary AORUS INFINITY series beyond graphics cards. The company has shown an X870 AORUS INFINITY motherboard as part of its #MyPerfectSetup campaign, where the board is listed as one of the prizes.
INFINITY graphics cards and now motherboards
The AORUS INFINITY name first appeared on the GeForce RTX 5090 model shown at CES 2026. That card was later detailed as GIGABYTE’s 40th anniversary graphics card. We have also reported that GIGABYTE is preparing more AORUS Infinity graphics cards , including possible RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 variants.

The new model appears to be the first AORUS INFINITY motherboard. It is based on AMD’s X870 chipset , not X870E. This means the board should use a single chipset instead of the dual-chipset layout used by X870E models.

Even so, the layout points to an overclocking-focused design. The rotated AM5 socket and two DDR5 memory slots are typical choices for boards built around memory tuning and shorter trace routing. This makes the X870 AORUS INFINITY closer in concept to an enthusiast board than a standard four-DIMM gaming model.
GIGABYTE has not shared full specifications yet. The company says more details will be available at Computex next week.
