Intel has now formally announced Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme , its first chips made for gaming handhelds. One of the first devices using this platform will be the Acer Predator Atlas 8.

The device was already mentioned in our exclusive report earlier this week . At the time, we confirmed that Acer was preparing a Predator-branded handheld based on Intel’s Arc G3 platform. The new report now adds the first detailed specifications and confirms that Acer is preparing at least two configurations.
The Predator Atlas 8 will be available with Intel Arc G3 Extreme and Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 GPU cores. A second version will use Intel Arc G3 with Arc B370 graphics and 10 Xe3 GPU cores. Both versions are listed with 24GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory.
8-inch display and up to 80Wh battery
The handheld uses an 8-inch 1920×1200 IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel supports 48Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, 100% sRGB coverage and Gorilla Glass Victus with Corning DXC anti-glare coating.

Other specifications include up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD in a full-size M.2 2280 form factor, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, 65W USB-C charging, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, a UHS-II microSD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handheld runs Windows 11 and supports Microsoft’s Xbox Mode.
