Qualcomm Snapdragon C targets $300 entry-level laptops

Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C Platform, a new Arm-based processor platform for entry-tier laptops. The company says systems based on Snapdragon C will target prices starting at $300.
The new platform is aimed at students, families and customer-facing small businesses. Qualcomm confirms designs from Acer, HP and Lenovo, with the first laptops expected to reach stores later this year.
Snapdragon C is being promoted for everyday workloads such as web browsing, video streaming, productivity and video calls. Qualcomm also says the platform supports cool and quiet laptop designs with all-day battery life, although exact battery estimates will depend on each OEM design.

The company also confirms an integrated NPU for AI workloads. However, Qualcomm has not disclosed CPU core count, GPU details, memory support, process node, wireless features or NPU TOPS. The announcement also does not mention Copilot+ PC support.
Even cheaper than the Apple Macbook Neo
That makes Snapdragon C a lower-tier product than Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X2 Plus. Snapdragon X2 Plus has up to 10 CPU cores and an 80 TOPS NPU, while Microsoft lists more than 40 TOPS as one of the core Copilot+ PC requirements. More importantly, the starting price (which we hope to see on at least one system) is much lower than Apple’s budget laptop, which is priced at $599.
