Toyota halts development of next-gen Lexus EV model

NAGOYA, Japan -- Toyota Motor will discontinue development of a Lexus next-generation electric vehicle, Nikkei has learned, instead focusing on developing SUVs and other vehicles amid a global slump in EV sales.
