MSI to present new 8-inch gaming handheld at Computex 2026

Intel has officially announced its Arc G-Series processors for gaming handhelds. The lineup starts with Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme, both based on Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake”. Intel named the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ among the first systems using the new chips, alongside Acer Predator Atlas 8 and OneXPlayer 3 , but MSI did not show the device during the announcement.
That part appears to be changing now. VideoCardz has obtained images of the new MSI handheld, while another set has appeared on Reddit. The pictures show what appears to be the Claw 8 EX AI+ with a redesigned chassis, larger grips and a wider controller section than the current Claw 8 AI+.

The Reddit post claims the image comes from leaked promotional material shared through a Vietnamese media outlet and later posted on the MSI Claw Discord. The design still appears to use an 8-inch screen, but the panel sits lower in the central frame. The front layout shows a D-pad, face buttons, RGB-lit analog sticks and speaker cutouts below the display.

MSI has not confirmed the final specifications or launch timing. Previous retailer listings have pointed to Arc G3 Extreme, 32GB of memory, 1TB storage, an 8-inch 1920×1200 120Hz display and an 80Wh battery. Intel says more details on Arc G3 handheld systems will be shared at Computex 2026, so the Claw 8 EX AI+ may get its proper reveal next week.
Many thanks to AL3X for the tip!
