Cooler Master G.SKILL MasterDimm AC DDR5 memory with a fan

Cooler Master and G.SKILL have announced MasterDimm AC, a new DDR5 memory series with active cooling built into the module design. The memory will be shown during Computex 2026 at Cooler Master’s Taipei headquarters.
Yes, this is RAM with its own cooling system. According to Cooler Master, the idea is to keep high-capacity and high-frequency DDR5 stable under long workloads, not just short benchmark runs.

The new MasterDimm AC series supports kits up to 64GB x2. Cooler Master lists AMD EXPO profiles up to DDR5-6000 CL26, while Intel XMP 3.0 configurations include DDR5 CU-DIMM kits up to DDR5-8400. The company claims the active cooler can reduce memory temperatures by up to 15°C.








Cooler Master says the design uses a noise-optimized blower fan, so this is not supposed to sound like a tiny GPU glued to your DIMMs. Still, the concept raises the obvious question. We now have fans on CPUs, GPUs, SSDs, PSUs, cases and apparently memory again. Motherboards are probably next, unless we already forgot chipset fans existed.

This is not the first active-cooled DDR5 idea we have seen. Origin Code already showed VORTEX DDR5 memory with a detachable triple-fan cooler ahead of CES 2026. G.SKILL has also been pushing higher-capacity DDR5 kits, including 128GB DDR5-8000 kits last year, so MasterDimm AC appears to be aimed at systems where memory density and sustained clocks are both part of the pitch.
