Acer’s new handheld is only for streaming

Acer has announced the Nitro Blaze Link, a new handheld device for local PC game streaming. Unlike the Nitro Blaze 7, Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11, this is not a standalone Windows gaming handheld.
The device runs Linux and uses Sunshine and Moonlight software. Games are rendered on a separate gaming PC and streamed to the handheld over a local network.
The specifications make the intended use clear. Nitro Blaze Link has 1GB of LPDDR4 memory and 8GB of eMMC storage. Acer does not list a Ryzen APU, Windows support or any hardware configuration for native PC gaming.

7-inch WUXGA screen and Wi-Fi 6
The handheld uses a 7-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 1920×1200 resolution. The panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio and supports 5-point multi-touch input.
Acer lists Wi-Fi 6 with 80 MHz support for connectivity. The USB Type-C port is listed for charging only, while audio is handled through dual 2W speakers or a 3.5 mm combo jack.

Nitro Blaze Link has a 1-cell 18Wh battery and weighs 464 grams. Acer lists the dimensions at 286.87 × 109.8 × 15.5/33.52 mm. The device is planned for North America in Q4 2026. Acer has not confirmed pricing yet.
