NVIDIA teases “new era of PC” ahead of N1 and N1X laptop chip announcement

Microsoft and ASUS tease NVIDIA N1 laptops ahead of Computex

NVIDIA’s long-rumored N1 and N1X laptop chips are now being teased from several directions. The latest teaser refers to a “new era of PC” and uses coordinates 25.0528, 121.5990, which point to Taipei, Taiwan.

This is where NVIDIA will host its GTC Taipei keynote during Computex. The company has confirmed that Jensen Huang will speak at the Taipei Music Center on June 1 at 11 AM local time. The timing lines up with earlier reports that NVIDIA may use Computex to reveal its first Windows on Arm PC platform.

ASUS ProArt laptop with NVIDIA N1

ASUS has now joined the list as well. The company posted a teaser for what appears to be a ProArt laptop with NVIDIA N1.

Microsoft Surface with N1

Microsoft has also added its own hint. Windows and Surface chief Pavan Davuluri posted that “something new is coming for developers” and clarified that it is not a new OS version. This rules out Windows 12 and points attention back to hardware.

Microsoft may be teasing NVIDIA’s N1 and N1X chips, as well as Surface hardware based on that platform. This would be the clearest Surface-side signal so far that Microsoft is involved in NVIDIA’s Windows on Arm push.

Dell is already confirmed through Computex media material. The company has an XPS laptop with NVIDIA N1X prepared for May 31, although the directory checked earlier did not include images or specifications. Lenovo has also been linked to several N1 and N1X laptops, including a Legion 7 model that appears in charger listings with a 245W power adapter.

NVIDIA N1 and N1X are expected to combine Arm CPU cores with Blackwell graphics. Earlier leaks pointed to the higher-end N1X variant featuring a 20-core Arm CPU and 6144 CUDA cores, although final clocks, power limits and memory options remain unconfirmed.
