ASUS prepares 24.5-inch OLED esports monitor for Computex 2026
ASUS has started teasing a new ROG Strix OLED monitor ahead of Computex 2026. The product name shown in the teaser is ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace. ASUS calls it the “world’s first esports OLED monitor,” while we might call it one of the easiest monitor names to forget.
The teaser shows 24.5-inch , which suggests ASUS is targeting the classic esports monitor format rather than the larger 26.5-inch and 27-inch OLED panels used by most high-refresh OLED gaming monitors so far.
ASUS also shows 540Hz refresh rate for this monitor, which is probably enough for competitive gaming. The company has not confirmed the full resolution, panel type, brightness, response time, ports, price or launch date yet, so those details should wait for the Computex reveal.
The XG259QWPG Ace appears to be a different product from the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W , which we already covered as a 26.5-inch QHD OLED monitor with a 540Hz native mode and 720Hz dual-mode option. Sony also recently announced a 27-inch OLED esports model with QHD 540Hz and 720Hz dual-mode support.
A true 24.5-inch OLED panel would be a more direct replacement for the LCD esports monitors used in competitive shooters. That size is still common in tournament-style displays, where players often prefer a smaller screen with less head movement.
