Origin Code Vortex 4R CUDIMM targets Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus desktops
Origin Code has announced a new 4R CUDIMM DDR5 memory kit for Intel desktop platforms. The company is working with GIGABYTE and Intel to show a 256GB configuration using only two modules.
The kit uses two 128GB CUDIMM modules . Origin Code says its 4-rank design uses a Clock Driver, or CKD, to improve signal integrity at higher memory speeds. This allows higher capacity per module while keeping the two-DIMM configuration preferred by many high-end Z890 motherboards.
Origin Code lists a standard 4R CUDIMM configuration at DDR5-8000 with CL64 timings and 1.1V operating voltage. The company also has a tuned kit running at DDR5-8000 CL42 with 1.4V. This is the flagship configuration shown for COMPUTEX 2026.

The memory was validated on an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor and a GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS ELITE DUO X motherboard. This board has two DDR5 slots and official support for up to 256GB of memory. GIGABYTE also lists support for quad-rank unbuffered DIMMs and CQDIMM memory up to DDR5-8000.

This is not the first 256GB two-module CUDIMM concept we have seen this year. ADATA and MSI already showed 128GB 4-rank CUDIMM plans for Intel Z890, while GIGABYTE previously demonstrated 256GB DDR5-7200 on its CQDIMM-focused Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE platform. Origin Code is now showing its own retail-facing 4R CUDIMM design with DDR5-8000 speed.
Origin Code will demo the memory at COMPUTEX 2026 in a custom showcase system.
