Steam Deck OLED regional pricing climbs again after US price hike

1TB model rises by up to 51%.

KOMODO, the official distributor of Valve hardware in Asia, has updated Steam Deck OLED pricing in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The change is effective today, June 1, and applies to both OLED models sold through the official distributor for these markets.

The new prices are JPY 137,980 and JPY 167,980 in Japan, KRW 1,298,000 and KRW 1,578,000 in Korea, TWD 26,280 and TWD 31,800 in Taiwan, and HKD 6,488 and HKD 7,788 in Hong Kong for the 512GB and 1TB variants. KOMODO says both Steam Deck OLED models are currently out of stock.

Now 38% to 51% more expensive

Compared with March pricing, the 512GB model is now 38% higher in Japan, 45% higher in Korea and 38% higher in Taiwan. The 1TB model increased by 46% in Japan, 51% in Korea and 41% in Taiwan. Hong Kong did not receive the March adjustment, so compared with launch pricing it is now up 41% for 512GB and 42% for 1TB.

KOMODO had already raised prices in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan on March 6, citing logistics costs and exchange rate conditions. At that time Hong Kong pricing was left unchanged. This new update brings Hong Kong into the same regional price change.

The update follows Valve’s own Steam Deck OLED price increase in the US . The 512GB OLED model rose from $549 to $789, while the 1TB model increased from $649 to $949. We covered that change last week, when Valve’s store updated the pricing for the two remaining OLED models.

KOMODO has not announced new hardware or specification changes. The distributor says customers interested in restocks should add the product to their wishlist, with updates also planned through the official Steam Deck Japan X account.
