ASUS reveals 720Hz ROG Swift OLED Edition 20 and 540Hz ROG Strix OLED esports monitor

ASUS is adding two new Tandem WOLED gaming monitors to its ROG lineup. The company has prepared the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-G Edition 20 and the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, both using TrueBlack glossy OLED panels with high refresh rates.
The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-G Edition 20 is a 26.5-inch gaming monitor made for the ROG 20th anniversary lineup. It uses a Tandem WOLED panel and has a transparent rear panel with Edition 20 styling, separating it from the standard ROG Swift OLED model.
This monitor supports two display modes. Users can run it at QHD resolution with up to 540Hz refresh rate, or switch to HD mode for up to 720Hz. ASUS also lists a 0.02 ms response time, DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, HDMI 2.1, a tripod socket, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, true 10-bit color, and Delta E below 2.

The second model is the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace . ASUS says this is the world’s first 24.5-inch OLED monitor made specifically for professional esports players. It uses a 1920×1080 TrueBlack glossy Tandem WOLED panel with a 540Hz refresh rate and 0.02 ms response time.
Unlike the ROG Swift model, this monitor focuses on a smaller screen size and Full HD resolution. This format is still common in competitive esports, where players often prefer smaller panels and fixed viewing positions. ASUS says the monitor was developed with input gathered through its partnerships with BLAST and PGL.

The XG259QWPG Ace also includes measurement markings on the stand and base. These markings are designed to help players copy their preferred monitor position across different setups. ASUS has also added a Quick OSD menu for faster access to display settings before matches.
For players moving from TN panels to OLED, ASUS includes three Esports Color modes. These modes are meant to adjust the image for competitive use while keeping the response and motion clarity advantages of OLED.Both monitors also support ASUS OLED Care Pro. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-G Edition 20 includes an adjustable Neo Proximity Sensor, which can dim the display when the user moves away from the desk to reduce burn-in risk during static use.
