AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 desktop and 9000 PRO workstation updates
AMD is preparing the first OEM desktop systems with Ryzen AI PRO 400 processors. AMD lists Dell Technologies, HP and Lenovo as partners, with availability planned for Q3 2026. The Ryzen AI PRO 400G desktop stack when AMD announced it at MWC 2026. The update now is the OEM rollout window and partner list.
Not yet for consumers
AMD has not announced boxed retail availability, so these AM5 processors remain tied to prebuilt business PCs for now. The lineup is aimed at Copilot+ desktop systems for business users. AMD says the Ryzen AI PRO 400 series brings on-device AI support to commercial desktops, with an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS. The processors also include AMD PRO features for fleet management and platform security.

The desktop stack tops out at Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450G and Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450GE. Both are 8-core, 16-thread Zen 5 parts with up to 5.1 GHz boost, 24MB total cache and Radeon 860M graphics with 8 compute units. The Ryzen AI 5 PRO 440G/440GE and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 435G/435GE are 6-core, 12-thread parts with Radeon 840M graphics.

Ryzen 9000 X3D update
AMD is also expanding its Ryzen PRO 9000 Series for workstations. AMD confirms Ryzen PRO 9000 processors with up to 16 Zen 5 cores, PCIe 5.0 support and 3D V-Cache with up to 144MB total cache.
The top model shown by AMD is the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D . AMD compares this processor against Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and claims up to 13% higher Autodesk Maya 2024 CPU Composite Score, 9% faster Unreal Engine compilation and 19% higher Chaos V-Ray CPU performance.
Lenovo will use Ryzen PRO 9000 processors in the ThinkStation P4 workstation. AMD’s slide lists the system as available in Q3 2026, while Lenovo’s own materials list up to Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition graphics.

All coming later this year
This gives AMD two separate commercial desktop updates for the second half of 2026. Ryzen AI PRO 400 targets compact Copilot+ business PCs with integrated graphics and 50 TOPS NPU support. Ryzen PRO 9000 targets higher-power workstations with up to 16 cores, 3D V-Cache and discrete professional GPUs.
