Samsung unveils Ultra Slim TrueBlack 1000 OLED panel for laptops and 4K 360Hz QD-OLED

Samsung shows 16 OLED and QD-OLED gaming panels at Computex 2026

Samsung Display is bringing a full gaming display lineup to Computex 2026, covering OLED and QD-OLED panels for handheld PCs, laptops, and monitors.

The company says it will show 16 products at the Taipei event. The lineup starts with an 8.8-inch OLED panel for handheld gaming PCs and goes up to a 49-inch QD-OLED panel for monitors. The company is also using the show to present new laptop OLED technology and updated QD-OLED monitor panels.

Ultra Slim panel with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 for gaming laptops

One of the new laptop panels is called Ultra Slim. Samsung Display says the panel is still under development and reduces the module outer-edge thickness by more than 20% compared with its current mass-production laptop OLED panels. The company says it achieved this by etching both the TFT substrate glass and the encapsulation glass, reducing their thickness by more than 30%.

Samsung says the thinner design does not reduce core display specifications. Its laptop OLED panels can reach VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, with black levels below 0.0005 nits and 1,000 nits peak brightness at 10% OPR. Refresh rate options range from 165Hz to 240Hz, while motion clarity can reach VESA ClearMR 11000.

New monitors

For monitors, Samsung Display is showing a 4K 360Hz QD-OLED panel , which the company calls the first self-emissive monitor panel to combine both specifications. Samsung says it optimized the internal circuitry and drive system to handle the higher pixel data rate required by 4K resolution at 360Hz.

The company is also showing its QD-OLED Penta Tandem technology, which adds a fifth blue OLED layer and new organic materials. Samsung says this improves efficiency, lifespan, and luminance.

Other panels at the booth include a 34-inch QHD+ self-emissive monitor with True Black 500 certification , a monitor panel with a V-Stripe pixel structure for improved text readability, 27-inch and 31.5-inch QD-OLED panels, and a 27-inch 500Hz QD-OLED monitor. Samsung Display will also show game demos from KRAFTON, Pearl Abyss, EA, and NEOWIZ, including PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Crimson Desert, F1 25, and DJMAX RESPECT V.
