HP announces OmniDesk Mini, a compact AI PC with Intel Core Ultra Series 3
HP has announced the OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC, a compact system based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The company calls it the world’s first Mini AI PC with Thunderbolt Share.
The system is part of HP’s Computex 2026 AI PC update. HP says the OmniDesk Mini is designed for local AI work, developers and multi-PC workflows. It uses Intel’s built-in AI hardware, which likely refers to the NPU integrated into Core Ultra processors.
Four 4K displays and Thunderbolt Share
The key feature is Thunderbolt Share support. This allows two Windows PCs to be connected with a Thunderbolt cable for shared keyboard and mouse control, screen sharing and high-speed file transfers. HP says the OmniDesk Mini has two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
HP also confirms support for up to four 4K displays. This puts the system closer to a compact workstation than a basic office mini PC. However, the company has not shared full specifications yet. Memory, storage, exact CPU options, chassis dimensions and images were not included in the announcement.
The OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC is expected to launch in August 2026. Pricing will be announced closer to availability.
