ASUS names N1X

ASUS has announced two new ProArt laptops powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark, a platform tied to what appears to be NVIDIA’s N1X chip. The naming may be confusing, since NVIDIA does not refer to the chip as part of the N1 series in its official press releases or product pages.

Jensen Huang, however, presented the chip as N1X , which suggests that RTX Spark is the platform name, while N1 and N1X may be used later as commercial CPU names in partner marketing.

ProArt P16 (H7607) and ProArt P14 (H7407), ProArt P16 gets up to 4K 120Hz OLED display

The new models are the ProArt P16 (H7607) and ProArt P14 (H7407), both aimed at creators, AI developers and users running local AI workloads. The chip combines a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 support and a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU connected through NVLink-C2C.

Both ProArt systems use ASUS Lumina Pro OLED panels. The ProArt P16 supports up to a 4K 120Hz VRR display with NVIDIA G-SYNC, while the ProArt P14 uses up to a 3K panel. ASUS lists Delta E < 1 calibration, up to 1,600 nits brightness and an anti-reflection coating.

ASUS says the new ProArt P16 and P14 are thinner and lighter than the previous ProArt P16 H7606 generation. The company lists up to 99.9 Wh battery capacity, CNC-machined chassis, haptic touchpad feedback, Nano Black and Neo White color options and AI-enhanced Windows features.

RTX Spark is aimed at local AI workloads

According to ASUS, RTX Spark systems support up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of AI performance. The company says the platform can be used to render 90GB+ 3D scenes, generate 4K AI videos and run 120B-parameter LLMs with up to 1 million tokens of context.

ASUS is also launching a ProArt Mini PC based on the same platform. That desktop system supports up to 128GB unified memory, 140W thermal headroom, 10GbE networking and M.2 PCIe Gen5 x4 expansion. However, the laptop announcement is the more interesting part, since RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s first direct push into Windows Arm laptops with its own CPU and GPU platform.

ASUS has not confirmed pricing for the ProArt P16 or ProArt P14. Availability is planned for fall 2026 in select regions. The company says more configuration and regional details will be shared later.
