MaxSun brings Radeon RX 580 2048SP with six HDMI ports to Computex 2026

I didn’t expect to cover Polaris at this year’s Computex, but here we are.

MaxSun is showing a Radeon RX 580 graphics card at Computex 2026. The card is labeled “MS-RX580 2048SP 6H 8G” and uses six full-size HDMI outputs. According to the display card, it can drive up to six 4K displays at 30 Hz.

This is not a regular gaming RX 580 design. The six-output layout suggests the card is aimed at signage, control rooms or other multi-screen systems. The card is also compact, with MaxSun listing a 174mm length and an 8-pin external power connector.

Return to Computex 10 years later

Polaris first appeared at Computex 2016 with AMD’s Radeon RX 480 announcement. AMD later launched that card on June 29, 2016. That makes this architecture nearly ten years old at this year’s show.

AMD launched the Radeon RX 580 2048SP in China in 2018. It used 2048 stream processors and 8GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit bus, making it closer to the Radeon RX 570 than the full RX 580 with 2304 stream processors.

Polaris is no longer on AMD’s regular gaming driver branch. AMD moved Polaris and Vega to a separate maintenance path in 2023, with updates focused on critical security and functionality fixes rather than regular game optimizations. AMD still lists separate Polaris and Vega driver packages, including support for Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 series cards.
