Seasonic and Noctua are preparing a new PRIME TX Noctua Edition power supply series

The prototype shown at Computex 2026 confirms two capacity options, 1600W and 1300W. The units are ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant, with Titanium level efficiency rated at 94% at 50% load.
Comes with OptiGuard
The new model moves beyond the current PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition by adding Seasonic’s OptiGuard system. According to Seasonic, OptiGuard monitors current and temperature directly at the GPU power connector. It can issue warnings, reduce load or cut power when abnormal connector behavior is detected.
The spec sheet lists pin-level current monitoring for the new Noctua Edition model. This suggests the consumer Noctua Edition line will receive protection features previously tied to Seasonic’s PRIME ENTERPRISE platform.
The new PSU uses Noctua’s NF-A12x25 G2 fan and a custom grill designed for airflow and noise reduction. Seasonic lists semi-passive operation, with the fan staying off at regular loads and ambient temperatures, then slowly ramping up when load increases.
The prototype is also shorter than the existing model. Seasonic lists a 180 mm length, down from 210 mm on the current PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition. That should improve case compatibility, which was one of the issues with the first Noctua-branded 1600W model.
Seasonic’s Computex 2026 booth also includes PRIME ENTERPRISE power supplies for AI workstations, including TX-1600 and PX-3200 models. GDM reports that the enterprise models are currently shipping only to enterprise customers and that the PX-3200 offers six 12V-2×6 connectors. As far as I can tell, there is no sign of the rumored 5200W which was mentioned in the press release.
The next-gen Seasonic PRIME TX Noctua Edition PSU is currently listed as a prototype. Seasonic’s placard shows a current ETA of Q2 2027.
